Introduction

My storytelling journey began at the age of five when my grandmother gave me my first camera. From that moment, I became fascinated with capturing memories and preserving moments in time. When Hurricane Katrina struck just as I was graduating high school, it changed my perspective on storytelling. I realized that storytelling is more than simply documenting events it’s about honoring the traditions, culture, and people that shape us. My camera became more than just a tool; it became a way to celebrate the stories that define my community, ensuring they wouldn’t be lost to history.

While the structural challenges and displacement caused by the storm were undeniable, I knew there was one way I could help businesses old and new navigate these hardships: by helping them reconnect with their audience. As New Orleans began to rebuild, many of the places I loved faded away, and local businesses faced difficulties not due to a lack of quality or passion, but because they struggled to effectively reach the people who needed to hear their stories. This realization fueled a deep desire in me to bridge the gap between businesses and the community, helping to revive the spirit of our city by sharing its stories and culture in ways that resonated with the people who mattered most.

That’s what led me to marketing. Marketing is where creativity meets strategy a way to bring stories to life, connect with people on a deeper level, and inspire action. With a Bachelor’s in Marketing and an MBA focused on Marketing, I’ve developed the skills to merge artistic expression with business acumen. From understanding consumer behavior to crafting campaigns, my education has equipped me with the tools to create strategies that resonate emotionally and deliver measurable results.

I’m pursuing a certificate in Digital Marketing to stay ahead in the ever-evolving media landscape. Whether it’s SEO, social media, content creation, or analytics, I’m committed to using the latest tools and trends to help businesses and brands tell their stories in innovative ways that reach and engage their audiences.

My artistic background gives me a unique perspective I see the human side of every story, while my marketing expertise helps me turn those stories into strategies that inspire, connect, and make an impact. Whether I’m behind a camera, crafting a campaign, or helping a business find its voice, my mission is clear: to celebrate culture, amplify stories, and empower others to succeed.
